Summary
Cover to one of a pair of soup tureens with covers by David Willaume, 1740 (DUN/S/470, b.1). The domed covers are raised, the lower parts with a second applied raised section with similarly cast and applied gadrooned and leaf rims, and an applied bezel... [They] are engraved with... [the crest of George Booth, 2nd Earl of Warrington], surmounted by an earl's coronet (Lomax and Rothwell, 'Country House Silver from Dunham Massey', 2006, pp. 76).
Provenance
Previously on loan to the National Trust by the Rt Hon. Lord Deramore and became the property of the National Trust on his death in 2006.
