Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mary Langham, Countess of Warrington (1652/3-1690/1) by Jacob Huysmans (Antwerp c.1630 – London 1696), inscribed lower left: Mary Countefs of / Warrington. A three-quarter-length portrait of a woman, turned slightly to left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a green and white silk gown with a brown cloak fastened to the top of her dress on her right and trailing behind, she is standing beside an orange tree and an open window, her right hand plucks a leaf, there are leaves in her upturned left hand. She has curled brown hair dressed with pearls with a ringlet falling on her left shoulder. Distant landscape seen through window with cloudy sky. Mary was wife to the 1st Earl of Warrington
