Caption
The pendant to this portrait, supposedly of Elizabeth Grey’s husband, Sir George Booth, 1st Baron Delamer (1622-1684), also hangs at Dunham Massey. The identification of her husband is almost certainly false, which suggests that she, too, has been misidentified. The pair are probably other members of the Grey family.
