Caption
Tom Parr was a Shropshire farm labourer who reputedly lived to the age of 152. He was brought to London by the Earl of Arundel, where he became an object of curiosity, but died shortly afterwards in 1635. This portrait was recorded as a copy by Wright in 1769.
