Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, manner of Jacob Huysmans (Antwerp c.1630 – London 1696), circa 1650-70. A three-quarter-length portrait previously believed to be Lady Lucy Rich (d. 1646/7), the first wife of John Robartes (1606-85) but the dates are wrong and she was not a 'lady'. She is seated to the right, with a wall behind her and herhead facing. She is wearing grey satin dress and pink cloak and holding flowers in her lap in her left hand To her left is a landscape.

Given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
