Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Man by Charles Jervas (Dublin 1675 - London 1739), circa 1710/20. A half-length portrait of an unidentified gentleman, turned to the right, with his head facing back towards the viewer, wearing a long wig, white stock and reddish brown cloak which he holds to his chest with his left hand. The sitter was formerly thought to be Sir John Cutler, MP.

by descent, until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
