Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas III Hunt, MP (1721 -1788) by Thomas Hudson (Devonshire 1701 – Twickenham 1779), circa 1750/60. A three-quarter-length portrait of Thomas Hunt III, the father of Anna Maria Hunt, who inherited Lanhydrock in 1798 and who married Charles Bagenal-Agar, youngest son of the 1st Viscount Clifden in 1804. He is standing towards the left by a table, head facing, right hand in his waistcoat, left by his side, a cocade hat under his arm. He wears a blue coat and waistcoat, white lace collar and cuffs, and knee breeches.

by descent, until given by Gerald Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden (1883-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953
