Oil painting on canvas, Henry Robartes, 3rd Earl of Radnor (c. 1695 - 1741) by Domenico Dupra (1689 - 1770), circa 1730-31. A painted oval half-length portrait of a gentleman, wearing a suit of armour, his right hand on his helmet.
Provenance
By inheritance through the sitter's sister, Mary Vere Robartes, wife of Thomas II Hunt, until given by Gerald, 7th Viscount Clifden (1888-1966), with the transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953. (There is a note on file (Lanhydrock Contents 1978-81) by GMT that this painting was given by Lady Clifden to Anne Williams thougn she never received it. It was not in Lady Clifden's house in 1974 or in 1982).
