Summary
Oil painting on panel (oval), Anne Robinson (1742 - after 1812) after John Downman, RA (Ruabon, North Wales, 1750 – Wrexham 1824) An oval half-length portrait of the sister of the 1st Baron Boringdon's second wife, Theresa. After the death of their mother 'Nanny' Anne looked after the two children. She is wearing blue jacket, yellow waistcoat and high white collar and an elaborate riding hat. She is looking slighty to the right with a red curtain behind on the left and a landscape framed by a column on the right.
