Oil painting on canvas, Sir Charles Davers, 6th Bt (1737-1806), studio of Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA (Plympton 1723 - London 1792), circa 1773. Derived from three-quarter-length portrait at Ickworth. A bust length oval portrait of third son of Sir Jermyn Davers, looking slightly to the right, head left wearing a red coat and a white stock.
Provenance
Accepted by the Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877-1951) and transferred to the Trust in 1957.
