Summary
Oil painting on canvas, The Hon. Frederick Robinson (1746-1792) by Gilbert Stuart (North Kingstown, Rhode Island 1755 - Boston 1828), inscribed on frame bottom right: Stuart, pinxit / 1785. A half-length portrait to right, in dark green coat with light green lapels embroidered in black, white stock, his left arm resting on the back of a chair of Younger son of the 1st Lord Grantham and brother of Theresa, wife of the 1st Lord Boringdon.

Accepted by the Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877–1951) and transferred to the Trust in 1957
