Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Montagu Edmund Parker (1737-1813) by Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA (Plympton 1723 - London 1792), 1768. A half length portrait of the second son of John Parker and Lady Catherine Parker. who married Charity, daughter of Admiral Paul Ourry. He is almost profile to right, wearing blue coat with red collar - probably a hunt uniform - and carrying a gun under his arm.
Provenance
Accepted by the Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877–1951) and transferred to the Trust in 1957.
