Summary
Punch bowl, porcelain, round, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, Qianlong period (1736–95), second half 18th century, decorated in the famille rose (‘pink family’) palette in pink, purple, orange, blue, green, yellow, brown and black enamels and gold with a frieze of figures engaged in various pursuits in a garden on the exterior and with prunus and peonies on the interior, gold spearhead bands on the footring and on the inside of the rim.

Accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax and allocated to the National Trust, 1957.
