Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Mary Anne Evans, Mrs Walter Rice (b.c. 1770/80 - 1859), Welsh School, circa 1790. A three-quarter-length portrait of a seated lady, dark hair in bun (Regency style) with white dress with clasp under bust and square neck and pink satin wrap. Sister of Major Herbert Evans (NT 869222) Mary Anne Evans of Highmead, Llanybydder, Lampeter was the sister of Major Herbert Evans and Anna Maragetta Evans (KHL/P/2) and thus aunt to Reverend Sir Erasmus Henry Griffies Williams (KHL/P/1). She married Walter Rice of Llwyn y Brain.
