Summary
Oil painting on canvas, John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol (1665-1751) (after Sir Godfrey Kneller), by John Fayram John Fayram (active c.1713–d.1744), c.1715. Three-quarter length portrait of a man, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a pala brown silk suit, and red cloak, worn over his right shoulder and draped across and held at his hip by his left hand. Long brown curled wig. Landscape setting with woods. Inscription to right.
