Head and shoulders portrait of a man, with a dark background of archway. He has a florid complexion and greying hair, and is wearing a Cardinal's robes.

By descent to the 4th Marquess of Bristol (1863-1951); on the death of the 4th Marquess, valued for probate; accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of tax and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
