Landscape with two figures and castle in the background. Reverse engraving of painting in the Smoking Room. ICK/P/61 a. Inscription below engraving. Black frame, gilt slip, mounted and glazed.
Provenance
Part of the Bristol Collection. Acquired by the National Trust in 1956 under the auspices of the National Land Fund, later the National Heritage Memorial Fund. and thence by descent to Rear Admiral Frederick William Fane Hervey, 4th Marquess of Bristol (1863-1951), on whose death valued for probate; accepted in lieu of tax by HM Treasury, and transferred to the National Trust in 1956
