Summary
A joined oak chair, Conwy Valley, North Wales, circa 1690-1710. With a panelled back and turned stiles over a panelled seat, raised on turned baluster legs tied by an arched front stretcher and further side stretchers. For comparable examples see: Bebb, Richard 'Welsh Furniture 1250-1950'.
Provenance
Originally from a Lancashire farmhouse and given to the National Trust by Miss Proctor in 1981.
