Summary
A joined oak and softwood box panel bed, probably Merioneth, North Wales, first half of 18th century. The side panels and top rails made in oak, the head and foot panels in softwood, raised on four square section legs. Later wool curtains.
Provenance
The bed was purchased in 1988 from R N Perry. Merioneth National Trust Association contributed to the cost of purchase. The woollen curtains were handwoven in 1988 by Seion, Llanberis, and made up by Gaynor Morris.
