A gold ring, circa 1550-1600, set with two unmatched, irregular, cushion-shaped, flat cut rubies in raised collets in a quatrefoil-shaped frame. The frame is decorated with polychrome enamelling between matching enamelled, scrolling shoulders on a lobed bezel.
