Summary
An oak long stool, the rectangular top upholstered in 17th-century Flemish tapestry border material with a floral decorative design in blue and raised on eight baluster legs joined by stretchers. A pencil note recorded 1953 as 'made at Knole'.
Provenance
This object came to the National Trust with the donation of Sissinghurst by Nigel Nicolson in 1967 and is listed as part of the Chattels Accepted in Lieu of Duty in 1972.
