Summary
Oil painting on copper, Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham (1478-1521), British (English) School, 19th century. A painted oval small half-length portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator wearing a red doublet beneath a black coat edged with brown fur, a flat black cap and wearing a pearl necklace. Exhibited at Tudor Exhibition, New Gallery 1890.

Purchased by the National Trust with Sheringham, with grants from the National Heritage Memorial Fund, the Countryside Commission, the National Conservancy Council, and several bequests, in 1987
