Summary
Oil painting on paper on plaster (?), Hector departing for the Trojan Wars and bidding farewell to Andromache by Pietro Mario Borgnis (1743 – 1801). Central roundel in the Etruscan Room. The other roundels on the walls are on the same paper and integral to that decoration. Hector strides forward on the left in his armour and helmet and red c;aok. Andromache, in white, is swooning, with her left hand to her brow, in the centre and a nurse holds their son, Astyanax, in the background on the left.
