Summary
Oil painting on canvas (centre window pier), Pythagoras restoring Birds and Fishes to their Former Freedom by Antonio Zucchi, RA (Venice 1726 – Rome 1796), 1767. Pythagoras stands in the centre with a rectangular basket of birds which he opens to the sky and three are flying out. On the right is a wmaon holding abasket of fish on her head with another attendant. A lady in blue and yellow drapery sits right of centre and three men stand on the left with more fish beside them.

Given to the National Trust with Osterley Park by George Francis Child-Villiers (1910–1998), 9th Earl of Jersey in 1949
