Summary
A joined oak form, or long stool, English, late 17th century. The top above channel-moulded friezes and raised on block and double-oval turned legs. On block feet joined by side stretchers.
Provenance
Listed in the Large Hall in the inventory taken at Bateman's in 1939. Bequeathed by Caroline Starr Balestier, Mrs Rudyard Kipling (1862-1939) with Bateman’s and its contents.
