Summary
Cream Jewellers box containing a piece of white tissue paper on top of which sits a piece toilet paper, on which sits Walter Straw's 'PAST PRESIDENT' of 'WORKSOP CHAMBER OF TRADE' medal underneath a pad of wool wadding. Box - two piece cream box, the lid has a brown gloss border to the top edge with the words; 'W. F. Marshall WATCHMAKER & JEWELLER. 43. GATEFORD ROAD. WORKSOP.' in gold. The bottom of the box is plain with; 'W. W. STRAW 1936 & 1953' handwritten in blue pen. White tissue - a folded piece of white tissue paper. Toilet paper - a piece of folded up toilet paper with a crinkle texture and a light brown discolouration. Medal - the medal is of 'gold' coloured metal consisting of a bar top with a pin to the rear and 'PAST PRESIDENT' on a blue enamel ground. The medal sits on a single link drop with a decorative scroll edge design. A central blue ground inner oval border carries the words 'WORKSOP CHAMBER OF TRADE' inside of which is a diamond pattern back with a gold scroll at the base carrying the word 'WORKSOP' in black and above which sits a red shield with five gold crowns. Wadding - a single piece of cream wool wadding.
