Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Charles Hoare (1767 - 1851) of Luscombe, attributed to Prince Hoare (Bath 1755 – Brighton 1834), circa 1785/90. A half-length portrait of the third son of Sir Richard Hoare, 1st Bt in a painted oval, facingleft and looking straight out. Inscribed later with the name of the sitter on the bottom left corner.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust along with the house, its grounds, and the rest of contents by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947) in 1946.
