Summary
George II giltwood wall mirror in William Kent style, the frame with leaf mouldings, paterae at corners and rising to a swan-neck pediment centred by an espanolette mask below five feathers, and flanked by flowing acanthus, the sides with bracket scrolls carved with acanthus and trailing husks, the base with scrolling acanthus pendant. Perhaps made for Sir Richard Hoare of Barn Elms by William Linnell circa 1740.
