Watercolour and bodycolour, partially varnished, on four sheets of joined paper, The Ruins of Augustus's Bridge over the Nera at Narni, by Abraham Louis Ducros (Yverdon, Switzerland 1748 – Lausanne 1810). The bridge of Augustus, of which only one arch and the other buttresses remain, carried the Via Flaminia across the Nera near Narni.
