Summary
Candleholder, one of a pair, hard paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded, China (for the export market), probably Qing dynasty, Qianlong reign (1736-1795). Moulded in the shape of a court lady, holding a vase in her proper right hand to hold a candle, wearing long flowered large-spot robes over a pleated striped skirt and her hair in a high topknot with hair ornaments.
