Summary
Covered cup, one of a set of three, cream-coloured earthenware painted in enamels, Wedgwood, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, circa 1790. A two-handled cup in creamware, each piece monogrammed 'RH' beneath an eagle's head in profile, probably for Sir Richard Colt Hoare, 2nd Baronet (1758-1838). Base impressed 'Wedgwood.'

Probably commissioned by Sir Richard Colt Hoare, 2nd Baronet (1758-1838), circa 1790. Bequeathed by Sir Henry Hugh Arthur Hoare, 6th Bt (1865 – 1947), 1946.
