Summary

Two covered baluster jars, hard paste porcelain painted in underglaze blue and famille rose enamels and gilded, China, late 18th century. The first with scenes of figures in cartouches to either side of the body, surrounded by scrolled borders and foliate reserves speckled with gilt; the second with scenes of figures in cartouches to either side of the body, surrounded by a bamboo border and foliate reserves. [check marks]. Possibly associated with two beaker vases (730502 and 730503).
