Summary
Oil painting on panel, Personification of Africa, attributed to English School, circa 1665. A painted sculpture bust of a woman, wearing and surrounded by attributes of the African continent. She wears a white feathered skirt, a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. The bust sits on a plinth in an oval sculptural niche surrounded by flowers and leaves.
