Summary
Oil painting on canvas, George Hooper, Bishop of Bath and Wells (1640 - 1727), after Thomas Hill (c.1661 - Mitcham 1734). A portrait, bust- length, to left in ecclesiastical robes, in a painted oval with striking black borders. The original portrait, signed and dated 1723, is probably the one in the Vicar's Hall, Wells Cathedral.
