Summary
Oil painting on panel, Landscape with Figures in the foreground and a Man Fishing, manner of Francesco Zuccarelli, RA (Pitigliano 1702 - Florence 1788), circa 1800. Possibly a nineteenth-century English pastiche of a Zuccarelli composition. Three figures sit by a river on the left, with a tree behind them. A man stands with a fishing rod in his hand. A woman sits, wearing a blue skirt and red top, holding a basket and talking to another man. In the distance, on the right beyond the winding river, is a small town with a church. Above on the left is a hill on which figures are walking.
