Summary
An inlaid walnut and satinwood cross banded bureau cabinet, English, 2nd quarter of the 18th century, partly re-veneered, probably in the 1st quarter of the 19th century. The top section with a moulded cornice and a pair of beveled glazed cupboard doors enclosing a fitted interior of drawers and divisions and with a pair od candle slides below the doors. The lower section with a fall enclosing further drawers and divisions above a well with a slide, with two short and two long drawers below raised on later bracket feet. Extensive alterations, satinwood veneer and fan inlays of a later date, glass replaced.
