Summary
One of a pair of Derby figures. A gentleman playing the tambourine, wearing turquoise-ground, flowered coat and pink breeches. The elaborate wave-scroll base painted in turquoise and gold on green rockwort feet. Circa 1770. (Patricia Fergusson, 2004, states, 'The Idyllic Musicians', the pipe and tabor player).
