Oil painting on canvas, Market Scene set amidst a Capriccio of Ruins by Pierre van Bredael (Antwerp 1629 - Antwerp 1719), 1660s. Numerous figures in an urban setting amongst classical ruins, in a mountainous landscape setting. A market is taking place on the right; peasants are dancing in front of a tavern on the left; and two figures in Turkish-style dress are prominently shown to the left of the obelisk.
