Summary
Oil painting on canvas, The Madonna and Child, after Giovanni Battista Salvi Sassoferrato (Sassoferrato 1609 - Rome 1685). A variant of a well-known design of Sassoferrato's. The Madonna is seen head-and-shoulders, to right with the Christ Child resting against her left arm. It appears to be an 18th or early 19th-century painting.
