Summary

Portrait miniature, enamel, Anthony Chute (1691-1754) by Christian Friedrich Zincke (Dresden 1685 - Lambeth 1767). c.1727-1729. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the right, gazing at the spectator, wearing a blue velvet coat and white cravat. Dark grey eyes, long grey knotted wig, florid complexion (slight scratch above his ight nostril). Plain drab background darker to the left. (One of nine family miniatures in a mahogany case NT/VYN/F/31.)
