Summary
One of three round enamelled badges for the York County stand for 1926, 29 and 30, bearing the motif of a rose surrounded by a border in which YORK COUNTY STAND and the date is inscribed in gilt. Attached by a ring to a short cord. Colours pale blue and white, lilac and claret on white, green and claret on yellow. Impressed and embossed on the reverse 422, 449 and 433 and W.O. LEWIS (BADGES) LTD/BIRMINGHAM.
Provenance
Pennyman collection devised in October 1961 to The National Trust under the terms of Col. J.B.W. Pennyman's will.
