Summary
A Sega Game Gear hand held game console. The top of the rectangular black plastic console has a window in the centre through which a game or TV programme can be viewed when the console is operational. The window has a ‘Game Gear’ logo adjacent to its top left corner and a Sega logo adjacent to its top right corner. On the right hand side of the top there is a half moon shaped blue button marked 'START' below which are two circular buttons marked '1' and '2'. On the left hand side of the top is a circular movement button for use when playing games. On the front edge of the console there is a red power button, a single pin socket marked 'DC9V' for use by a car adaptor, a plug socket for headphones and a volume control wheel. In the centre of the front edge is a slot where video game cartridges can be inserted. On the underside there are two compartments that each hold three AA size batteries and a paper label that has a silver Sega logo on it, plus the consoles serial number (B31097729).
