Summary
A Sega Mega Drive II video games console. The square shaped black plastic console has a narrow slot at its top where video games cartridges can be inserted. Below this is a Sega logo printed in silver letters and below this there are two red buttons, the one on the left marked 'POWER' and the one on the right marked 'RESET'. On the front edge of the console there are two nine pin DIN sockets where the controller handsets for the console can be plugged in and on the rear edge there are two further sockets marked 'A/V OUT' and 'ADAPTOR'. The serial number of the console (131218746) is printed in black on a silver background on the underside of the console.
Provenance
Designed and manufactured by Sega in 1993. Transferred as a gift to The National Trust on 26th July 2016.
