Summary
A black plastic computer floppy disk manufactured by Maxell, one of two included with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum +3 Home Computer. The disk contains the games Battleships, Bombjack, Batty and Ghosts and Goblins on one side and the graphics software package Artist II on the other side. The names of the games/software are written in pencil on a white label at the bottom on each side of the disk. The disk is housed in a paper red and silver coloured paper wallet that has a Maxell CF2 logo on it and the names of the games on the disk are also written on the back of this wallet, again in pencil. The ZX Spectrum is a home computer designed by Sinclair Research between 1982 and 1987. It was one of the best selling British computer systems, selling over five million units. The +3 model released by Amstrad was the final official Spectrum model.
Provenance
Computer disk manufactured by Maxell and included with a Spectrum ZX +3 Home Computer designed by Sinclair Research Ltd and released by Amstrad in 1987. Purchased from Comet in Burton On Trent on 12th December 1987. Transferred as a gift to The National trust on 15th November 2016.
