Summary
An electrical power supply unit (PSU) for a Sinclair ZX Spectrum +3 Home Computer. The rectangular shaped PSU box has 'sinclair +3' embossed in red letters at the bottom and has two lengths of electrical flex attached to it. One of these connects to a white mains electric supply plug while the other has a 6 pin DIN plug at which can be plugged into the PSU socked on the keyboard. The ZX Spectrum is a home computer designed by Sinclair Research between 1982 and 1987. It was one of the best selling British computer systems, selling over five million units. The +3 model released by Amstrad was the final official Spectrum model.
Provenance
Power control unit for a Spectrum ZX +3 Home Computer designed by Sinclair Research Ltd and released by Amstrad in 1987. Purchased from Comet in Burton On Trent on 12th December 1987. Transferred as a gift to The National trust on 15th November 2016.
