Summary
A plastic joystick for use with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum +3 Home Computer. The black joystick handle has two red buttons at the top and is mounted on a black square plastic base with four small circular rubber feet. On the base of the joystick on either side of the handle there are two red circular buttons and between these there is a black sliding on/off button. The joystick has a length of electric cable attached to it and at one end of the cable there are two plastic sockets which connect to the joystick ports on the computers keyboard. The ZX Spectrum is a home computer designed by Sinclair Research between 1982 and 1987. It was one of the best selling British computer systems, selling over five million units. The +3 model released by Amstrad was the final official Spectrum model.

Joystick controller for a Spectrum ZX +3 Home Computer designed by Sinclair Research Ltd and released by Amstrad in 1987. Purchased from Comet in Burton On Trent on 12th December 1987. Transferred as a gift to The National trust on 15th November 2016.
