Summary
A plastic hand held controller unit for a Play Station 2 games console. The black controller has silver Sony and Play Station logos in its centre below which are three control buttons marked 'SELECT', 'START' and ANALOG'. Below these buttons there are two rubber joy stick controls which can be operated with the thumbs by the user when the console is being used. On the left hand side of the controller there are four buttons which can be used to control a players movements during games and on the right hand side are four further buttons, one marked with a green triangle, one with a red circle, one with a blue cross and one with a purple square. The control unit has a length of electrical flex attached to its centre at the end of which is a socket that connects to the port on the front of the PS2 console unit.

Accessory part included with a Play Station 2 games console manufactured by Sony in 2001. Purchased by The National Trust as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
