Summary
A Pelham Puppet named Monkey he has brown hairy fur and blue eyes, and on his head he wears a red fez. He has a green type waistcoat decorated with a pink pattern, red, white, and green full length striped trousers and light brown feet. He has a brass bell on his tail. Strings are attached to his head, hands, waist and legs the strings travelling up to a wooden cross bar operating mechanism.
Provenance
A gift to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by Miss Verity Holmes in 2017. Belonged to the donor as child probably bought for her as a present when aged 10 or 11.
