Summary
A yellow and white two part oblong cardboard box it has writing on the lid stating " Pelham PUPPETS MARBOROUGH WILTS - HAND MADE PUPPETS FOR CHILDREN WITH FULLY ILLUSTRATED INSTRUCTIONS" On the lid of the box there are illustrations of the different puppet characters and on the ends writing stating "STANDARD PUPPET" and the name of the puppet TYROLEAN BOY in red which is the puppet inside the box. The base of the box is made of white cardboard with no writing on it.
Provenance
A gift to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by Miss Verity Holmes in 2017. Belonged to the donor as child probably bought for her as a present when aged 10 or 11.
