Summary
A toy model of 'Railton Mobil Special', one of a set of three die cast metal toys of land speed record cars. 'Railton Mobil Special' is painted silver with red detailing, and black lettering, of which some is wearing off. The set includes three of an original set of four produced in a partnership with Kellog's cereal; 'Thrust 2' , 'Blue Bird' and 'Paliton Mobil Special'. The car missing from the set is 'Spirit of America'.
Provenance
Collected by the donor’s children and given to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by Mrs Sue Fraser in August 2012.
